At Great Northern Road Dental Clinic in Dunstable, we believe in transparent and clear dental treatment plans. Our team will provide you with a detailed, written treatment plan outlining all costs upfront. NHS dental treatments are structured into three pricing bands.
NHS Treatment Bands and Prices:
- Urgent Care (£27.40)
Emergency dental treatment necessary to relieve toothache when not already undergoing a course of treatment.
- Band One (£27.40)
Includes dental examination, x-rays as required, scale and polish if clinically necessary, oral healthcare advice, preventive guidance, and some fissure sealants. Treatments to diagnose and prevent tooth decay. - Band Two (£75.30)
Covers all Band One treatments, plus fillings, root canal treatments, tooth extractions, and wisdom tooth removal. - Band Three (£326.70)
Includes all treatments from Bands One and Two, plus laboratory-based procedures such as crowns, bridges, inlays, dentures, and specific treatments addressing missing teeth.
NHS Dental Treatment Exemptions:
You may be eligible for free NHS dental care if you or your partner receive any of the following:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Guarantee Pension Credit
- Valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate
- Valid HC2 certificate
Partial Assistance:
If you hold a valid HC3 certificate, you may receive partial help toward NHS dental treatment costs. Your certificate will specify the exact contribution required.
